Public Art Murals
Shenton Park Train Station
In 2003 I worked with a group of Local Graffitti artists to produce a serises of Graffitti Murals in Public Places. The first project was to repaint the student drop-in-centre at Hollywood senior High School. Working with a group of year 11 and 12 students, teaching them spray paint control and concept building skills. The success of the project lead to the commission of a similar project at to repaint the Local Train station at Shenton Park. This was a much larger area then the drop-in centre which requirer over $2000 of paint and took over three weeks to complete. The project received a lot of public appraisal for it’s proactive approach to teenage graffitti.
