Internship at GE
GE Plastic, Bergen op Zoom NL
During the second half of my year in Holland I was employed for a four month
Internship at the Design and Engineering Department of GE Plastics European
headquarters. During the internship I worked on a number of individual and
group projects both in-house and externally. The nature of the company
meant the projects ranged dramatically from the full tear down and redesign
of a washing machine to the creation of a gig for shock and chemical testing
of a plastic glazing part for an automotive designer. The internship enhanced
my ability to work at a professional level with multiple project running
parallel, international collaboration, working needing to be to manufacturing
standards and requiring professional standards of work, presentation and
attitude at all times.
