Working in a multidisciplinary team with a Mechanical Engineer and Social Science Student to produce a energy reducing proposal for the Moreland Energy Foundation Ltd. The proposal, which was part of MEFL’s Take Action on Hot Water and Air Conditioning project, looked at ways of reducing the CO2 emissions related to the use of Electric Hot Water Systems in Medium Density Housing in the Moreland area and Was used as the base for a funding application from the Federal Governments Greenhouse Challenge Campaign. The final report included cultural probes, data gathering and market research, energy and finance audits of the alternative systems, LCA of the systems and a plan of Action for implementation of the proposal should the funding be received.
